Modesto -- A judge on Wednesday rescheduled a preliminary hearing to June 13 for a defendant accused of murder in the death of a 30-year-old man who was found more than two years ago along a rural road north of Modesto. The preliminary hearing for Gregory Fisher, 31, of Modesto is estimated to last two days. Fisher is accused of shooting to death Modesto resident Brian Morris, whose body was found June 11, 2010, along Costner Road. Detectives believe Morris' slaying, in part, was the result of an argument over a car stolen from one of his friends. Fisher remains in custody at the Stanislaus County Jail.
