Festival queen candidates sought

The Chowchilla Spring Festival Committee is accepting applications for Chowchilla Spring Festival Queen.

Applicants must be from 16 to 21 years old, have never been married, do not have any children and live in the Chowchilla trade area. The contestant who sells the most Spring Festival Barbecue tickets will be named queen and will receive $500, plus 10 cents per ticket sold. The winner will represent the Spring Festival Committee for the ensuing year.

Applications must be competed and returned to the Chowchilla Fairgrounds by 5 p.m. on Friday, March 15.
