Redskin Band will host Spaghetti Dinner

The Chowchilla Union High School Redskin Band will hold their annual spaghetti Dinner and Silent Auction this Saturday, March 9, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. The dinner will be held in the Little Theater located at the Chowchilla Fairgrounds.

Dinner includes the original Redskin spaghetti, salad and garlic bread. The dinner is served family style and is all you can eat. Take outs will be available. The cost of the dinner is $8 per person. Desserts and beverages are extra.

Guests will have the opportunity to take a stroll down memory lane and blast to the past. The Redskin Marching Band uniforms from the previous years will be availabel for people to take home as a keepsake for a donation of $50.

There will also be a silent auction at the event.

Proceeds go help pay for fees, supplies, guest instructors,m meals, travel and purchase of instruments and other band related items.

Relay For Life honors survivors

The Chowchilla Relay For Life will hold the annual Survivor Pancake Breakfast this Saturday, March 9, from 7:30 to 10:30 a.m.

The community is invited to attend the breakfast which will be held at Faith Hall located at 717 West Robertson Boulevard.

All cancer survivors eat free. Additional tickets may be purchased for a $5 donation.

Survivors may enjoy a delicious breakfast and get signed up for the 2013 Chowchilla Relay For Life event and win fabulous prizes.
