Stanislaus Partners in Education is accepting applications for its summer Educator Internship Program. The 40-hour internships are for middle school through 12th-grade teachers. Educators interview and shadow employees at local businesses and government agencies to learn about area workplaces and translate the experience into engaging classroom lessons. SCIENCE WINNERS: Individual winners of the Regional Science Olympiad held Saturday at California State University, Stanislaus, are now posted at www.modbee.com. Modesto High's Crimson Team and Hickman Charter took first place overall in the high school and junior high divisions. They and six other teams will compete in the state competition. The other teams are from Central Catholic, Enochs High, La Loma Junior High and Hart-Ransom Junior High, all of Modesto, Blaker-Kinser Junior High of Ceres, and Oakdale High. The Science Olympiad consists of individual and team events in biology, earth science, chemistry, physics, problem-solving and technology.
