Fire training to begin at Modesto's Davis High School

MODESTO -- The introduction to fire protection class, part of the Public Safety Academy at Davis High School, will conduct fire extinguisher training Thursday and Friday from about 8 to 11 a.m.

The training will be on the blacktop near the basketball courts, on the south side of the campus, which sits at Tully and Rumble roads.

Modesto City Schools advises there will be a heavy amount of black smoke visible from the exercises. Dispatchers are aware of the training.
