WATERFORD -- The Waterford Unified School District board will hold a special meeting tonight to consider shifting board member elections to even-numbered years and moving to trustee areas.
The Stanislaus County Board of Supervisors also would need to approve the move, according to the agenda report.
Trustees will consider a resolution saying the change would garner greater voter turnout by consolidating governing board elections with statewide general elections, which occur in even years.
