Modesto school needs help finding school's time capsule

Alberta Martone School will celebrate its 25th anniversary April 29.

Before then, committee members are hoping someone from its early days will come forward and help them find the school's time capsule, said teacher Tamela Kisst.

Only two original teachers remain, and neither remembers the location, she said. Organizers are seeking a metal detector as a backup.

Retired educator Alberta Martone will join in the celebration at her namesake school on Poust Road.

Former teachers and students of the school who plan to come are asked to RSVP to the school, (209) 576-4613.
