-- Sonora police arrested the driver of a sport utility vehicle on charges of driving under the influence of medications after the car overturned Sunday morning.

According to police, officers were called to the accident at Mono Way and Sanguinetti Loop at 11:36 a.m.

A Ford Explorer had left the road and overturned. Driver Kenneth Camara, 49, and passenger John Deherrera, both of Tuolumne City, were walking around. A second passenger, Deric DeHart, 22, of Jamestown, was lying on the ground next to the vehicle.

Camara was showing signs of being under the influence of prescription medications, police said. The three men were taken to Sonora Regional Medical Center, where DeHart was admitted.

Camara and Deherrera were treated and released. After Camara was released, he was taken into custody and booked at the Tuolumne County Jail on charges of DUI and being under the influence of a controlled substance.
