Awards dinner honors Stanislaus County's outstanding women

The Stanislaus County Commission for Women has announced its 2013 Outstanding Women of Stanislaus County.

The honorees are Pam Able, Solange Altman, Sandra de Alcuaz, Mary Lou Dieterich, Dr. Lynette Grandison, Maree Mundelius Hawkins, Lynn Lysko, Dotty Nygard, Mary Ann Sanders, Leah Silvestre and Yamilet Valladolid.

The late Helen Pierce will be honored as a Woman of History. Three Outstanding Young Women — Jenna Anderson, Analisa Freitas and Fallon Ferris — will be presented awards and scholarships.

The awards dinner is at 6 p.m. on March 16 at the Assyrian Cultural Center of Bet-Nahrain, 3119 Central Ave., Ceres. Tickets are $40; reservation deadline is March 12.
