I cannot find the appropriate or even printable words to use that would express my disgust over the article "Oakdale settles second worker lawsuit for $220,000" (Feb. 21, Page A-1). The said employee was defending one of our most meaningful and constitutional rights as a U.S. citizen. All people are to be treated equally, or so it's been said anyhow, yet I wonder if this will ever happen in my lifetime. Sadly I don't think it will.
Being in a biracial relationship myself, I also experience an amount of this bigotry daily and I find it to be just ugly and ignorant. Yet the article said that there is not admitting any guilt. Really?
It is just an example of what I've said for years, we will never be able to live harmoniously until people can admit that they are wrong and also until we realize the fact that no one person is any better than the next.
