Another warm day, Modesto, followed by possible rain

MODESTO -- It's another warm, beautiful day ahead for the Northern San Joaquin Valley, but there's a chance of rain in the next few days.

The National Weather Service predicts a high of about 73 in Modesto today, followed by much of the same on Saturday. Today is expected to be the warmest day of a warm week.

But there's a slight chance of rain Saturday night and Sunday morning. The same system should deliver roughly an inch of snow to the mountains.

Sunshine is expected to return Sunday and Monday, but forecasters predict temperatures a few degrees lower. Come Tuesday, another storm system will move in, hopefully bringing rain to an area that has seen a near-record dry start to the year.
