-- A desperation shot with time expiring in overtime resulted in a heartbreaking loss for the Cal State Stanislaus men's basketball team, 90-88, to host Cal State Monterey Bay.

Sam Marcus's jumper with 1:03 to go in regulation turned out to be the final points by either team as he sent the game into overtime. In the end, however, the Otters held Stanislaus scoreless in the final 2:26 of OT.

Cal State Monterey Bay (9-19, 5-16 CCAA) snapped an eight-game losing streak against Stanislaus (9-16, 6-15). Clinton Tremelling led the Warriors with a career-high 18 points, including four three-pointers.

In women's action, Stanislaus guard Erin Godde picked up her second straight double-double, but it wasn't enought in Seaside as Cal State Monterey Bay won 76-50.

Godde scored 12 points and 10 rebounds for her third double-double in four games.

The Warriors (2-24 overall, 1-20 CCAA) end their season tonight at Cal State East Bay. Senior Devin Brown also scored 12 points for the Warriors.
