-- Muralist Aaron Vickery has created a companion piece to the "American Graffiti"-inspired painting of a yellow hot rod he did on a commercial building at 13th and J streets in downtown Modesto last year.

His new work, titled "Chevy Bel Air," measures 25 feet high and 20½ feet wide and is on the side of the Modesto Chamber of Commerce building at 11th and J.

The artwork was inspired by a photograph taken by Lance James.

Vickery’s past works include a 72-foot-long mural for Facebook, displayed at the company’s Menlo Park headquarters before being sent to its Atlanta home, and a colorful wall of flowers at Modesto’s Big Valley Grace Community Church.
