I was taken aback when I saw the smile-smirk on the face of convicted SK Foods founder Frederick Scott Salyer (Feb. 13, Page A-7) with the two smiling men in the background.
Is he smiling because: a) he only got six years in prison; b) he'll have an opportunity to kick his alleged alcoholism; c) maybe he'll run into some of the 10 other co-defendants who were accused of manipulating the price and quality of millions of pounds of processed tomatoes?
Answer: All three. Salyer probably said, hey, when life deals you some rotten tomatoes, make a Bloody Mary.
