SONORA -- A 42-year-old Sonora man died Friday afternoon after his motorcycle went off the road, ejecting him.
According to the California Highway Patrol, Shawn Angel was riding north on Parrots Ferry Road near the Tuolumne-Calaveras county line at 1:40 p.m.
As the motorcycle entered a right-hand turn, it went across the double-yellow lines and off the road's edge, striking a guardrail. Angel was thrown from the cycle and landed on the dirt and grass embankment west of the road.
