The Ripon Almond Blossom Festival runs Saturday and Sunday beginning at 10 a.m. at Mistlin Sports Park on East River Road with carnival rides, food, games and more. The annual parade marches Saturday, beginning at 1 p.m. along Fourth Street, Vera Avenue and Main Street. A dance Saturday night is open to people age 21 and over from 8 p.m. to midnight at the community center.
The Ripon Senior Center has a craft and bake sale Friday 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and Saturday 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the center, 433 South Wilma Ave. There will be breakfasts Saturday from 6-11 a.m. at the Grange Hall, 827 Ripona Ave. and Sunday from 8 to 11 a.m. at the Veterans of Foreign Wars facility, 12455 W. Ripon Road.

Comedienne Kathleen Madigan has never been hotter in her 22-year career than now. Cuarteto Latinoamericano
Cuarteto Latinoamericano performs as part of the Modesto Junior College Music Appreciation Concert Series. The Mexican ensemble is known worldwide as the leading proponent of Latin American music for string quartet. The group won the 2012 Latin Grammy for best classical album for its recording "Brasileiro: Works of Francisco Mignone."

Divisa Ensemble
Divisa Ensemble performs the final concert of the season in the Manteca Kindred Arts concert series. A quintet of flute, oboe, violin, viola and cello, the Divisa Ensemble performs both traditional and contemporary works. The group was founded in 2009 and is comprised of musicians who play in orchestras throughout the Bay Area.

Lonesome River Band

'American Buffalo'
Patterson Repertory Theatre presents David Mamet's gritty drama "American Buffalo." The play centers on three small-time crooks who plot to rob a man of his coin collection, the centerpiece of which is the valuable buffalo nickel. The show stars Michael Hewitt, Daniel James Moody and Spencer Reza.

'All Hands on Deck'
