On Feb. 19, Modbee.com published a police log — a list of calls/incidents that the Modesto Police Department responded to on Feb. 18. The list included 36 incidents in just one day.

It was recently reported by The Bee that a man was trying to grab women on the Virginia Corridor. This information wasn't given to The Bee until three weeks after the occurrences. My question: Why doesn't the MPD report problems like this to The Bee until weeks afterward? Why doesn't the MPD have a daily log in The Bee so citizens can be aware of what's going on?

Information makes us better prepared. Information helps keep us safe. The MPD should provide this information daily.
