Fair announces Morris Day & the Time will perform July 19

TURLOCK -- Morris Day & the Time will take the stage at the Stanislaus County Fair this year, officials announced Thursday.

Day, who performed with Prince's first group, Grand Central, had several hits in the 1980s. More recently, he has contributed songs to to movie soundtracks including a cover of “Somebody’s Watching Me” to “Haunted Mansion” and “Jungle Love” to “Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back.”

Morris Day & the Time will perform July 19 on the free stage.
