OAKDALE -- Police have arrested a 31-year-old Oakdale woman whose infant daughter died in December.
Jail records show Nicole L. Smith was booked at 9:33 p.m. Tuesday on a charge of child endangerment.
She previously had been identified as Nicole Todd-Smith.
Oakdale police had issued a warrant for her arrest after toxicology results showed the 44-day-old infant had a high level of methamphetamine in her system.
On Dec. 11, police responded to a report of an unresponsive baby on Obsidian Drive; the child was pronounced dead at Oak Valley Hospital.
Smith's bail was set at $1 million.
