Info: Enochs High School seniors are working with the American Red Cross to collect new and used blankets for those in need because of homelessness, poverty or emergency situations. Donated blankets welcome.

• DOCUMENTARY FILM PRESENTATION

When: Thursday, 7 to 9 p.m.

Where: Modesto Junior College, Forum 110, 435 College Ave.

Info: MJC's Civic Engagement Project will present "Sing Your Song: Harry Belafonte." The film widens the lens on Belafonte to show his lifelong commitment as an activist for civil rights in the United States and globally. A discussion will follow the film. • TECHNICAL SEMINAR

Info: The Institute of Management Accountants, Modesto chapter, will present a one-hour seminar designed to provide attendees with information needed to recruit, manage, train and retain a professional work force. • REPUBLICAN WOMEN FEDERATED MEETING

Info: Stanislaus East Republican Women Federated's monthly meeting will feature Stanislaus County sheriff's deputy Joellene Schwandt. She will speak about regional law enforcement training programs, dealing with state and local mandates such as the governor's realignment directives, and the impact of a law enforcement career on a family.
