In response to the letter "Adoption instead of abortion" (Feb. 7): You stated that a woman in 1987 had a choice to make and she chose to give life. Please keep in mind that the word "choice" means an act of selecting or making a decision when faced with two or more possibilities. Although she chose life, remember that the choice of another woman might be abortion.
You also stated that God had plans for the child she bore and that God has a plan for each of us. I believe this also. That also means that if God has a plan for each of us, it is not your place to interfere with a woman's choice, as this may be God's plan for that woman. Believing in God also gives us free will.
Please do not be hypocritical and try to enforce your beliefs onto others using the word of God, as their choice and beliefs may be different than yours.
