When I read "Taking No Chances" (Feb. 15, Page A-1), the first thing that came to mind is the Paris family. Talk about rubbing salt into a wound by reporting that "Paris exhibited a too-casual attitude toward eviction work."
Although that may have been stated in the report, it is evident that The Bee exhibited insensitivity and a lack of compassion to the Paris family and frankly to the entire community.
It felt like the finger was being pointed at deputy Paris, thus blurring the focus that it was James Ferrario who had his finger on the trigger (among other lethal means of destruction) on that fateful day that took the lives of Bob Paris and Glendon Engert. So much for resting in peace.
