Oakdale woman sought in baby's death

OAKDALE -- A felony arrest warrant has been obtained for a 31-year-old Oakdale woman whose baby girl died in December.

The Oakdale Leader newspaper reports that Nicole Todd-Smith is charged with felony child endangerment.

Toxicology results showed the 44-day-old infant had a high level of methamphetamine in her system.

On Dec. 11, police responded to a report of an unresponsive baby on Obsidian Drive; the child was pronounced dead at Oak Valley Hospital.

Todd-Smith is no longer at the Obsidian Drive address and her whereabouts are unknown, The Leader reports.
