Man found dead in Modesto's Davis Park; no foul play suspected

MODESTO -- Modesto police said a 43-year-old man's body was found early Monday next to a tree in Davis Park.

"It looks like alcohol was a factor in his death," Lt. Jeramy Young said. "It doesn't look like this was anything crime-related."

The man's name was being withheld pending notification of his family. Police said a passer-by discovered the body about 6:45 a.m.

The park is at West Rumble Road and College Avenue, near Davis High School.
