We have Geoffrey Chaucer from the Middle Ages to thank for a commercialized Valentine's Day. And I think it's weird that a dude from the 1400s can get everyone to be so excited.

Well, I definitely think guys should respect and treat women with manners. I think a good relationship is based on how well you treat your significant other.

Since "The Notebook" makes me roll my eyes, and love songs make me feel a bit nauseous, I'm probably not the best candidate to answer this question seriously. However, I wouldn't say no to being taken out for a funny movie and a nice dinner. Just don't ask me to share dessert.

There are so many romantic things to choose from that it's hard to limit myself to just a few! Of course, a dozen roses and-or box of chocolates are always nice, but I appreciate any romantic gesture from a guy as long as he respects me and puts thought into it, such as going stargazing, renting my favorite movie or taking me to my favorite restaurant. I would respect him most of all if he simply prayed with me. That would be romantic enough for me.
