Consideration should be given first to Modesto's present needs before promising citizens of Salida extended services, and limited resources for annexation!
Why not annex those little pockets of county properties in Modesto instead, and upgrade with sewer lines and better street lighting, especially on the west side?
How about paving those ever-present potholes, or re-striping the streets to allow for safer bicycling? How about better efforts in attracting businesses to Modesto instead of annexing Salida and their businesses?
