75 YEARS AGO: An estimated 16,000 acres of land was flooded in the Crows Landing Bridge district by floodwater of the San Joaquin River. The loss to ranchers was estimated at $35,000 to $40,000 and only one road, the West Main Highway, remained open for travel. — Karen Aiello
