MODESTO -- Modesto will hold a public meeting this month regarding its Downtown Hospitality Program, which aims to make the city center more hospitable and attractive to residents, visitors, businesses and investors.
The Feb. 27 meeting is 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at Modesto Centre Plaza. The meeting will include a presentation on the research conducted about improving downtown, recommendations for the next steps and soliciting feedback.
The City Council commissioned the Downtown Hospitality Program in June. The city, Downtown Improvement District, Chamber of Commerce, Convention & Visitors Bureau and several members of the downtown community have been working on the project.
