-- A Hollister woman died after being ejected from her car during a four-vehicle collision on a highway west of Los Banos early Monday.

California Highway Patrol officer Matt Pinheiro said Pricilla Zamora, 25, died after her 1995 Honda Civic veered into oncoming traffic on Highway 152 near the Romero Visitors Center at 3:54 a.m. Pinheiro said Zamora was eastbound when her car, for an unknown reason, went into the westbound lane.

The right side of Zamora's Honda Civic was struck by a 1997 Nissan Sentra driven by Manuel Jiminez, 41, of Saratoga. Gustine resident Jason Vega, 38, was behind Jiminez in a Ford F-150. Vega's vehicle also struck the Honda, Pinheiro said.

Another westbound Ford F-150, driven by David McCarter, 50, of Los Banos, was hit by debris from the Civic.

Pinheiro said Jiminez suffered major injuries and was flown to Memorial Medical Center in Modesto. He said Vega was driven by ambulance to Memorial Hospital, Los Banos to be treated for minor injuries.

Pinheiro said it has not been determined if drugs or alcohol were a factor in the crash.
