Clear, sunny week ahead for Modesto

MODESTO -- For mid-winter, it sure looks a lot like spring. The National Weather Service is predicting another sunny week ahead, with no sign of the rain that was so plentiful a couple of months ago.

Highs are expected to be in the 60s, creeping up to near 70 by Saturday. Lows will be in the 30s, with very light winds, if any.

Patchy frost will be evident in the late night and early morning hours, wiht fog also possible.

But there's nothing that looks remotely wet until early next week, when Weather Service forecasters predict a chance of rain by Tuesday.
