The Acoustic Rock Society is sponsoring a local music and art showcase three Saturdays in a row beginning Feb. 16 at Center Stage Conservatory's Lower Level Studio in downtown Modesto.

The show is for all ages and runs from 6 to 10 p.m. Admission is $5. The lineup:

Feb. 16 — Dr. Blue and Bad Medicine, The World's Fair, Indian Runner, Brandon Sutton, Antonius Nickins and Daniel Stevens.

Feb. 23 — The House of Orange, The Poor House Millionaires, LoveCore, Nathan Ignacio and The Ramblers

March 2 — Joe Barretta, Jason Winnfree (Red Dog Ash), Keith Davis, Matt Walker, Black Eye Knoll, Dust Bowl Children.

Reggae/ska show

J-Boog, a reggae/ska artist, performs Sunday at the Fat Cat Music House & Lounge in Modesto. The show begins at 7 p.m.

Born and raised in Southern California, J-Boog, 27, relocated to Hawaii and hooked up with the Wash House label, which released his hit 2011 reggae ballad, "Let Me Know."
