RIPON — The Ripon Unified School District board will meet at 5:30 p.m. today in the Ripon City Council chamber, 259 Wilma Ave. The board will hold a workshop on next steps for its bonds with consultants Caldwell, Flores and Winters. Its regular meeting begins at 7 p.m. Trustees will consider establishing Ripon Continuation High School at the old community day building, to serve 20 students initially. COUNTY BOARD TO MEET: The Stanislaus County Board of Education will meet at 8:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Stanislaus County Office of Education boardroom, 1100 H St., Modesto. Trustees will weigh a comparison of superintendent salaries and the costs and benefits of going paperless. MANTECA TO MEET: The Manteca Unified School District board will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the district boardroom, 2271 W. Louise Ave. Trustees will weigh the design of landscape improvements for the Union Ranch future school site, with an estimated project cost of $345,000, and a greenhouse and utilities at Weston Ranch High School, estimated to cost $86,500. The board will honor young artists and lay out initial bargaining positions with its unions.
HUGHSON TO MEET: The Hughson Unified School District board will meet at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at the district office, 6815 Hughson Ave. The board will vote on hiring an architect to rebuild the fire-damaged Ross Middle School staff room. SUMMERVILLE TO MEET: The Summerville Union High School District board will meet at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday in the Summerville High School library, 17555 Tuolumne Road, Tuolumne City. Board members will vote on issuing $4.5 million in bonds and hiring an architect. Trustees will hear a Character Counts presentation.
