Arts, standards to be explored at Stanislaus County meeting

MODESTO -- A networking lunch and Arts Forum will explore arts connections with the common core state standards from noon to 4 p.m. March 6 at the Stanislaus County Office of Education Petersen Event Center, 720 12th St.

The afternoon will show the impact of instruction on student learning with a tour of the Educationally Interpretive Exhibition art show.

The free event will be held by SCOE and the Stanislaus County Alliance for Arts Education, with funding from the California County Superintendents Educational Services Association and the William and Flora Hewlett Foundation. Registration is required by March 1.
