School gardens focus of seminar in Modesto

MODESTO -- A workshop for developing school garden programs will be offered from 8:30 a.m. to 3:45 p.m. March 9 at the Stanislaus County Agricultural Center, Stanislaus Building Rooms H and I.

The training will cover basics, from digging in the dirt to building a lasting team. Cost is $20 and attendance by school garden teams of four to six people is recommended.

To register, mail a check payable to Stanislaus County to Theresa Spezzano, 3800 Cornucopia Way, Suite A, Modesto 95358 by Feb. 28, or pay in person at the Ag Center Stanislaus Building, UC Cooperative Extension window.
