-- Solid pitching performances carried the day for the Cal State Stanislaus softball team Wednesday in a doubleheader sweep over Dominican.

Natalie Rendon and Randee Hindman combined for a one-hit shutout for a 2-0 nightcap win. That followed a 2-1 victory for the Warriors behind the work of Brittani Weatherford and Hindman in Game 1.

In the opener, Stanislaus scored twice in the first inning with Cierrah Mullins singling in Weatherford who led off the game with a single up the middle. Sarah Locarnini had reached on a Dominican error and eventually came around to score on another Penguin error off the bat of Amy Droege.
