MODESTO -- Another clear and cool day lies ahead for the Northern San Joaquin Valley, but the National Weather Service says we could get some much-needed rain in the days ahead.
Forecasters expect a cold weather system to move in overnight, bringing a 40 percent chance of showers and light winds after 10 a.m. Thursday.
The Weather Service predicts similar conditions through Friday, with a chance of thunderstorms throughout the area bringing rain and maybe into the valley and snow into the foothills.
