MODESTO -- Modesto police on Monday identified a man gunned down while stopped at a red light in south Modesto.
Atour Daoud, 54, of Modesto was shot at West Hatch Road and Dallas Street about 8 p.m. Saturday. Officers were called to the scene and found Daoud dead in the driver's seat.
No one has been arrested, and detectives still have few leads, including a description of the suspect or suspects.
Detectives want to speak with anyone who may have been at the intersection around the time of the shooting. They said they are looking for people in a truck who they believe witnessed the shooting but left the scene.
