ATWATER -- Police are investigating a stabbing reported at a Winton Way gas station late Friday in which two people were injured. No suspects are in custody.
At 11:09 p.m. Friday, police responded to a fight at the 76 station at 2775 Winton Way. When police arrived, the combatants had left, according to Lt. Sam Joseph. Police learned at least one person was stabbed, and a large amount of blood was found on the pavement.
A short time later, police received a call from Mercy Medical Center Merced staff, reporting that two stabbing victims, an 18-year-old male and a 17-year-old male, had arrived.
