How bad is Modesto? I wanted to know, so I started my online research, only to find out that Modesto is bad. Let's just start off by saying the city of Modesto has a $7.9 million general fund deficit problem and it's not looking brighter anytime soon. Our local politicians must have taken a class in Obama 101 recently.
Now for the rankings for Modesto in 2012, with the source noted:

• No. 2 Worst Cities for Stolen Cars in America. (Forbes)
• No. 3 Most Miserable City in America. (Forbes)
• No. 5 Dirtiest Cities in America. (247wallst)
• No. 6 Highest Unemployment in California 15.5 percent. (247wallst)
• No. 6 Worst Cities in California for Your Lungs. (Forbes)
Now the three lists that stick out the most to me are Worst Run Cities in America, Most Miserable City in America and Highest Unemployment in California.
Who's to blame? How to fix these problems? How long will the citizens of Modesto keep tolerating this? This is not acceptable!
