• COUNTYWIDE ART CONTEST

Info: The Stanislaus Child Abuse Prevention Council is seeking artwork entries for its ninth annual child abuse awareness campaign. Winning artwork will appear in the 2014 "Through the Eyes of a Child" resource calendar and will be showcased in a countywide exhibit. The competition encourages students from kindergarten through 12th grade to express themselves through art on the topic of child abuse. For more information, call (209) 558-2057.

Info: The Modesto Junior College Freedom Forum Political Science Club is continuing its speaker series this spring semester with talks related to politics, law and public affairs. The first guest speaker will be Phillip Ung, presenting "The Voice of Voters and the $6 billion Election?" The presentation is free, open to the public and will be followed by a discussion.
