I would like to bring to awareness the unbelievable business practice of Modesto Junior College. Once notified of an opening, I went through the process of adding a wait-listed online class. I paid all required fees and received notification of being paid in full. Then I happened to be updating my info online and found that I mysteriously had a $3 balance. When I questioned the staff, I was told, we're sorry but there was nothing they can do because there is a glitch in the system, and that it was charging folks three days later, and the extra charge will remain. Plus, there was no one in management that was willing to discuss it or make it right.
What kind of business is allowed to charge you after the fact? MJC is our local community college, but from here on out I can't recommend it to any of my friends or family.
