Wisdom helps Buhach clinch CCC title share

Allison Wisdom scored 10 of her game-high 20 points in the third quarter to help Buhach Colony break open a 60-31 victory over Golden Valley and grab at least a share of its second straight Central California Conference title.

The Thunder (8-0 CCC, 20-5) can win the title outright at home against Merced next Tuesday.

Brandy Coward and Jessica Silva each chipped in 10 points in the victory for BC.

GV led after the first quarter, but couldn't keep pace with the Thunder. BC took an 11-point lead into intermission and then broke the game open with a 16-0 run in the third quarter.

Beatriz Munoz and Cristina Kuizon each paced the Cougars with 10 points.

Merced 59, Turlock 28

Dalonna Jones (17 points), Lexi Thompson (15) and Tekerra Borden (10) all scored in double digits as the Bears rolled.

Pitman 45, Atwater 43

TURLOCK -- Brianne Hunter (eight points) helped Atwater rally from 20 points down in the second half, but the Falcons came up short on the road.


Le Grand 55, Turlock Chr. 52

Mauricio Contreras and Esaiah Villalobos each had a team-high 15 points as the Bulldogs avoided a big fourth-quarter collapse.
