Audience just lacked sense of humor

Jeff Jardine's comments a joke told by Marty Jakosa at the Turlock Chamber of Commerce meeting last Friday beg for a reply. It's really hard to believe that what happened deserves so much attention. Front page news? I guess there must not be much news to report for this to even make the paper, much less the front page.

Has our society collapsed to the point where one cannot tell a political joke in public without a tirade from the likes of Jeff Jardine? So this took the limelight off the people that were being recognized that evening? That argument seems silly. What all this is about is political correctness run amok. The only thing Marty did wrong was to assume his audience had a sense of humor.
