M.D.: License to kill unborn babies?

If it wasn't so tragic it would almost be humorous. The irony of a physician whose profession is to ease suffering and prolong life criticizing and questioning the motives of Chrissy Aguiar who is doing exactly that through her work at the Modesto Pregnancy Center (Jan. 24, Letters). This same physician defends the killing of unborn babies,as long as it is done by someone with a license to do so.

Since 1973 when our Supreme Court legalized abortion in this country, there have been more than 55 million legal abortions. More than 1.3 million babies killed yearly.

As our president and many other "progressive" politicians use the horrible, senseless deaths of 20 children at Sandy Hook to make political points, they stand by silently while more than 100,000 babies are legally killed each month, most perfectly healthy. Where are their tears and voices for these innocent children?

We all need to look at ourselves and ask how we can make a difference like Chrissy and the Pregnancy Center are.

May God have mercy upon us all.
