Remember in the '50s and '60s how rock 'n' roll threatened our youth by promoting drug use and sexual promiscuity?
We were told in the late '60s that another ice age was coming. Now it's global warming that threatens us.
It used to be that plastic bags would save trees. Today our Legislature wants to make the same bags illegal.
"Use a gun, go to prison" has been replaced with "let the inmates go" because the state is incompetent when it comes to running a prison system.
Sen. Dianne Feinstein wants to ban semiautomatic rifles, although she calls them assault weapons, because you do not need one. Assault weapons are select-fire machine guns that have been illegal for decades. The senator believes she has found her one special law to add to the more than 20,000 that already regulate firearms in America. She blatantly misleads the public and ignores the facts to further her agenda at the expense of individual liberty.
I know from experience that she is wrong.
