MODESTO -- A Riverbank man suffered major injuries when his motorcycle hit the center median, then a car on Mitchell Road, on Saturday afternoon.
According to the California Highway Patrol, Michael Woods, 19, was riding south on Mitchell near Modesto Airport at 6:55 p.m.
The motorcycle was going faster than 60 mph when it hit the median wall, then careened to the right and into the path of a Chrysler PT Cruiser driven by Janice Bentley, 61, of Ceres. The motorcycle hit the car, ejecting Woods, who hit the car's windshield.
