-- Police in Oakdale arrested a man on a charge of attempted murder after he stabbed another man, authorities said.

Officers were called to Quik Stop Market at 630 E. F St. at 4:22 a.m. Sunday when someone reported seeing a man in camouflage clothing and a mask carrying a knife.

According to police, officers found the man, identified as Jose Carlos Ibarra, 24, of Oakdale, in the store parking lot. They also found a 28-year-old Oakdale man who said Ibarra stabbed him.

The victim's wounds were not considered life-threatening.

Ibarra was arrested and booked at Stanislaus County Jail on a charge of attempted murder. He remained in custody Monday with bail set at $500,000.
