Deceit, not abuse, is issue

I think we have already had enough distraction and drama on our Patterson City Council the last few years. It would be nice if that would stop and that we could be supported by a city leadership team without blemish whose overarching goal was to improve our city's safety, town spirit and financial security.

I would rather not have Sheree Lustgarten in that important leadership role. For her to not have had immediate accountability but to dance around the real issue, which was lying, while playing the victim, does not reflect keen leadership skills to me. Spousal abuse is a terrible thing, but has nothing to do with the underlying issue here — deceit.

What happens if she fails as a city leader these next couple of years? Will she produce another binder with the reasons her current husband is to blame?
