Pair rob Modesto check-cashing business

MODESTO -- Modesto police are looking for two men who committed an armed robbery at a check-cashing business Thursday afternoon.

The men entered the Check Into Cash at 2519 Coffee Road just before 5 p.m. and pointed guns at the two employees in the store, said Lt. Rick Armendariz.

The men took an undisclosed amount of cash and then ran from the store. No shots were fired and no customers were in the store at the time, Armendariz said.

One of the men is described as Latino, in his mid-20s, wearing a red hat, black-and-white bandana covering his face, a black jacket and jeans. The other is described as a Latino man wearing a black hooded sweat shirt.
