SACRED HEART SCHOOL EVENTS:

Sacred Heart School in Turlock will celebrate Catholic Schools Week with a series of community events. Sunday, there will be a school Mass at 10 a.m., with a school and preschool open house from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Tuesday, the school will hold a jog-a-thon from 1 to 3 p.m. Alumni will challenge eighth-graders to a basketball game at 2:15 p.m. Wednesday. Thursday is Friends and Family Day, with a school Mass at 9 a.m. and fine arts show with classroom presentations in the gym starting at 10.

PTSD PRESENTATION:

A free panel discussion on post-traumatic stress disorder will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the University of Phoenix Sacramento Valley Campus, 2860 Gateway Oaks Drive, Sacramento. Law enforcement, mental health and military panelists will address identifying symptoms, understanding treatment options and dispelling myths about the disorder, which affects an estimated one-third of veterans.
